Small Businesses cannot rely on help but they can make a difference for others

When someone talks about a small business they usually think of the local shop that has the whole family working to put food on the table.  However, a small business depending on the industry can be defined as a business with a maximum of 500 employees.  They are privately owned corporations, partnerships or sole proprietorships that have less revenue than larger businesses.  Small businesses account for more than half of the private GDP and the private sector employment.  The top job provider in the United States is those companies with fewer than ten employees and those with ten or more but fewer than 20 employees comes in second when it comes to the labor force of the United States.

During the overhyped Coronavirus that has scared millions of Americans by our politicians and mainstream media a 2.2 TRILLION PORK FILLED STIMULUS PACKAGE was passed to ease people’s fear and not question the asinine decisions that continue to be made.  Throughout this package, schools with billion dollar endowments, our congress, Indian reservations, community art centers, refuges from other countries have all received billions of tax payer dollars that was intended for small businesses to keep their doors open and their employees on staff until we could return back to some normalcy.

Many small businesses did not get funding before the Payroll Protection Program hit its $349b limit last week. It capped out because of large public companies taking large chunks of money out of a program that was not intended for them. The program was not intended for them because public companies have better staying power and alternative means of funding that small businesses do not. Meanwhile the small businesses continue to suffer.  Click on this link to see the largest public companies taking payroll loans meant for small businesses.  Several of the companies have market values well in excess of $100 million, including DMC Global, Wave Life Sciences and Fiesta Restaurant Group.  In full disclosure, DeliveryMaxx has been a client of Wells Fargo, and was one of the small companies that they squeezed out from getting any of the funding to help keep their doors open.

However, don’t let your local politicians off the hook.  President Trump passed the buck to the Governors.  The Governors past the buck to the County Judges and the County Judges who don’t even have to have a formal education to rule have made decisions based on an Epidemiologist Neil Ferguson’s Graph that said 2.2 million Americans would die by April 15th.  Of course he based that on 100% of the world would get the virus and it was very deadly.  Facts have not ever and still do not support these claims as he has now revised his predictions to a lower 60,000 Americans.  Even the weatherman have not been this wrong in the past.

DeliveryMaxx understands this all too well.  Founder James Schaefer, developed the Patent-Pending program just over 10 years ago creating an innovative way for companies to easily spread their message to the masses utilizing a mobile app.  He created this company without government loans or private investments.  Utilizing his personal savings, he has poured in millions over the last decade to create a program that will help anyone needing exposure on the web.  In every sense of the word, DeliveryMaxx is a small business with clients in multiple industries and across the country such as Automotive Dealerships, Real-Estate Brokers & Agents, Churches, Service Industry, Sports Teams, Non-Profit Organizations and more; utilizing the Patent-Pending customized social media marketing program to implement a digital strategy that will meet the needs of sales, service and messaging to the masses.

For businesses that are in the same boat as DeliveryMaxx (companies that are trying to survive), you must be willing to see and adapt to today’s environment.  That means with more eyes than ever before looking at the internet for information, your business must have a complete digital strategy that includes positive Online Reputation, stronger SEO, concise Content Management, increase in Social Media Engagement and Advertisement and higher Customer Retention.  To meet these strategies businesses must use Blogs, Reviews, Daily Post, Video Messaging, Automated Follow-Up, Email Blast and Website Development & Optimization.

Make no mistake, the government and mainstream media is not going to worry about you, so you will have to build up your brand and create a loyal customer following.  It will be important for you to stay consistent and vigilant during these tough times.  A couple of things you can do that will help you weather the storm as the local Mayors and County Judges continue to move the goal post:
·         Network.  The more people you meet and learn what they do the more opportunities you might find that your business can perform.

·         Help Others.  There is nothing better when a small business identifies an opportunity to help another small business.  Look for passing on referrals, using that business for a need you might have, consider partnering or trading services with the business.  Talk with your clients as they might be able to help you or vice versa.  Look to your competition.  Together, you might become stronger or have ways to help each other during this time.

·         Be willing to Adapt.  Even when the government runs out of excuses to keep the economy closed, we will never be able to go back to the way things were.  Be sure your business is adapting to the new ways consumers will be shopping or interacting with your business.  You will want to make sure you can operate in a digital world.

·         Show Empathy.  Many people believe everything they have heard on TV.  They are scared of the unknown and instantly feel this virus will kill everyone.  Obviously, this isn’t true, but don’t blame them for being so naïve.  Realize that they really think one might die just by walking outside if that is all they have heard the past 3 to 4 months.  As frustrating as it might be, don’t yell at them because they will argue with emotions and not facts.  Screaming and yelling will not make them understand logic any better and only scare them more.  Understand that others might have something that you take for granted, but to them it is a necessity of life.

·         Continue to Fight.  DeliveryMaxx has taken the position to expose the misinformation our government and mainstream media continues to feed America.  However, we are also providing real solutions and tools to help businesses to not fall into what is looking like being The 2nd Great Depression.  We know how hard you have worked to build a company that provides not only for your family, but also 10 or more other families.  Your voice must be heard, so don’t be afraid to let others know what these decisions are doing to your company.
