Strategic Planning now will allow your Business to Thrive Later

With over 50% of the United States labor force directly affected by the success of small businesses financial stability it is imperative that businesses continue to evaluate every program and streamline processes to assure their viability for when the Coronavirus Chaos stabilizes.  There is good news that is finally being reported showing that the scare tactics of our media and many of our politicians at the National, State and Local level were wrong from the beginning shutting down the economy.  Unfortunately, because the politicians at each of these levels gravely overacted it will take many years for businesses to recoup the losses they have encountered over the Media Induced Political Hysteria Economic Shutdown.  We still have a minimum of 3 weeks before more people will demand that businesses are allowed to reopen.  For many, this will be too late.  However, for those that have strategically planned will have a chance to serve their customers once again.

After cutting cost, minimizing expenses and streamlining operations, businesses must make sure their message is heard.  Obviously, utilizing today’s technology and a little common sense businesses can continue to provide goods and services to consumers.  Having a digital strategy can be of great benefit to acquire new clients or increase sales.  Digital Advertising is less expensive than traditional advertisement, but it has to be done right.  Every site has to be optimized and a complete understanding of each platform’s audience must be known.  There has to be a balance of daily post with branding and testimonies from clients.  There also has to be informational blogs and educational videos that show you are an expert in your field.  DeliveryMaxx makes this happen on a consistent basis meeting all of your needs in the digital world giving you a stronger reach on the internet allowing you to focus on what you do the best which is provide a great service or product and outstanding customer service!

A perfect example of utilizing social media is how businesses have united together to expose Wells Fargo’s fraudulent lending practices.  After securing the most small business accounts last year, they turned their back on these customers squeezing them out of securing the needed funds to stay alive through the Payroll Protection Plan that was part of the 2.2 trillion pork filled stimulus package our politicians on both sides of the aisle passed.  (We don’t even need to mention how the politicians lined their pockets by throwing in special funding for those who contribute to their campaign, but all of that information is on another blog.)  Not only was Wells Fargo found fraudulent by various regulatory bodies including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) by the creation of millions of fake savings and checking accounts on behalf of Wells Fargo clients without their consent and fined $185 million as a result of the illegal activity, but now they have been exposed for squeezing out the small business owner while providing valuable information to achieve additional funding to their much larger clients.  Small businesses like DeliveryMaxx have utilize Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media accounts to call out the injustice that continues throughout this crisis.

Another narrative that continues to be exposed is the actual severity of the Coronavirus itself.  Just before the insane government ordered house arrest imposed on innocent businesses and consumers alike, our officials utilized the famous Epidemiologist, Neil Ferguson who boldly predicted that the United States would achieve 2.2 million deaths in a very short amount of time only later changing the claims as drastically lower because over 85% who get the virus show no or very mild symptoms?  This was the same chart that everyone said we must balance the curve.  Of course the premise of the whole scare was that 100% of the world’s population would become infected with the virus and with a little research one would find that this has never happened in the history of the world.

The new narrative that these corrupt politicians and news media is starting to state that our “Stay at Home” policies are actually working on flattening the curve.  This would be great news except places like Home Depot, Walmart, big box grocery stores, Lowes, Academy, McDonalds and other fast-food restaurants all were allowed to remain open serving hundreds of customers at a time.  Therefore, if their employees and customers were not spreading the virus as everyone said, a question should be asked, “Was the virus as deadly or even as contagious as all of the politicians and media kept saying?”  How is it that several hundreds of people can fight over toilet paper and not spread a virus, but the local 100 seat capacity Mexican restaurant had to close their doors?

If and hopefully when our elected officials start making better decisions ending the economic shutdown, that if prolonged will lead us into the 2nd Great Depression, they will have to defend their short sided decision making of hurting tens of millions of American workers, why For-Profit-Hospitals did not adequately prepare for a potential epidemic that has been talked about for decades while making millions off the backs of the average American through insurance claims a pharmaceutical sales and a gross abuse of power during the chaos (especially many local mayors and county judges) as well as defending the World Health Organization’s (WHO) role in helping Communist China cover up information regarding the threat of the Coronavirus.  The only way they will be able to do this is through a digital media campaign because the mainstream media will still be in business to sensationalize stories to increase their advertising revenue based on viewers just like the fake stories they promoted when CBS News admitted airing footage of an overwhelmed Italian hospital while reporting on the coronavirus outbreak in New York City (included a short clip from the Sky News video in a segment about the outbreak of COVID-19 in New York City, which the outlet calls "America's Epicenter")  in order to continue to promote fear and uncertainty.  The CDC, WHO and United States Medical Examiners are counting any death such as heart disease, suicide or other causes of death of a person who has symptoms of the Coronavirus as COVID-19 Related Deaths.  Although very misleading, ultimately this will continue to add to mistrust of the media.

Unfortunately, unemployment filings have increased to almost 17 million.  Currently, restaurants and travel-related fields have made up the majority of these claims, but now we are seeing hundreds of thousands of retail workers lining up.  Economists say there could be more long-term and permanent layoffs included in more recent claims, as companies look to trim costs according to a new CNBC report.  Business Insider provided that nearly 60% of people who have lost their jobs due to the overhyped coronavirus pandemic are women.  If these trends continue we will easily surpass The Great Depression of 1929 which lasted for 4 years had a peak global unemployment at 24.9%.  Using the same numbers that would be the equivalent of 64 million of working adults in the United States would be out of a job today.  Economic forecasts are becoming routine that predict unemployment will exceed its historic 25 percent peak during the Great Depression, and the number of jobs lost in a mere three weeks now exceeds the 15 million that it took 18 months for the Great Recession to bulldoze from 2007 to 2009.  Of course with a great depression we will see a rapid rise in crime rate, suicide, cases of malnutrition, prostitution, alcoholism and drug abuse, out of reach higher education, increased divorce rates and child abuse and overall decline in health.  There will be many more deaths associated with The 2nd Great Depression than the current 90,011 worldwide deaths from the Coronavirus.  By the way, this number still lags behind the total number of deaths from suicides (291,990), alcohol (681,025), smoking (1,361,193), malaria (267,086), cancer (2,236,314), HIV/AIDS (457,741), abortions (11,574,400), seasonal flu (132,417) and communicable disease (3,534,857).

Because small businesses cannot rely on our government, news media and others; we must stay vigilant in promoting great goods and services that have helped the United States become a world economic power.  With all the obstacles that have been mentioned above, there is nothing more powerful than to be able to reach thousands to even millions of potential customers.

DeliveryMaxx makes this happen on a consistent basis meeting all of your needs in the digital world giving you a stronger reach on the internet allowing you to focus on what you do the best.  Having a digital strategy that includes social media engagement, online reputation, digital advertising, content management, website development and site optimization allows small businesses to remain viable in this time of uncertainty.

Saving your Business through Networking

During this time of uncertainty for many businesses and individuals alike, it is important to utilize all of the resources provided for you.  In addition to educating yourself on actual facts; another helpful hint would be to share your experiences with others.  While many businesses and consumers have been relegated to being under house arrest, now more than ever it is important to communicate.

Having a digital strategy can be of great benefit to acquire new clients or increase sales.  However, utilizing social media can also provide your business information to help educate you on real issues.  By being informed, this will allow you to disseminate fact from fiction.

A perfect example is that many people think that just because our government passed a 2.2 Trillion relief program that the economy will be able to get back to normal.  Although the stimulus package had a lot of pork filled provisions that have nothing to do with helping businesses survive during a government shutdown like: $150 million for Federal Grants to State and Local Arts and Humanities Programs, $75 Million for Corporation for Public Broadcasting, $25 Million for Washington, D.C., Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, $75 Million for the National Endowment for the Arts, $93 Million to Congress, $25 Million for cleaning the Capitol and congressional office buildings, $14 Billion for Universities and Colleges, $25 Billion for Public Transit Systems, $10 Billion for Publicly owned Commercial Airports, $1 Billion for Amtrak, $300 Million for Fishing Industry, $400 Million to help states prepare for 2020 elections with steps to include expanded vote by mail and additional polling locations, $2 Billion for health care, equipment schools and other needs for Native American Communities and $258 Million for international disaster assistance; there are banks like Wells Fargo limited allowing small businesses to participate in the Paycheck Protection Program.  Wells Fargo's announcement shows that even with a Fed backstop one of the country's largest banks will still not be participating in a program designed to help businesses on the verge of collapse because of the coronavirus outbreak.  Because of restrictions placed on Wells Fargo after its fake accounts scandal, the bank has told customers it must turn away struggling small business customers even after acquiring the most small business accounts last year.

Utilizing Social Media, small businesses have taken to various digital platforms out of desperation in order to get the giant bank to reverse their position to help out “the little guy”.

Another example is the Coronavirus itself.  The media would have you believe that the deaths of our citizens are piling up in the streets and hospitals cannot handle the outbreak.  Of course we are starting to see that this has been a false narrative from the begging.  From January 1st to March 30th, 2020 it has been reported that 35,016 people have died from this new virus that will be seasonal.  Yes, that means each year this virus will come back just like the seasonal flu.  What the media isn’t reporting is that during the same exact timeframe we have had 75,645 deaths of mothers during childbirth, 118,980 deaths from the seasonal flu, 240,056 malaria deaths, 262,441 suicides, 330,367 traffic accident fatalities, 411,415 deaths from HIV/AIDs, 612,105 Alcohol related deaths, 1,223,439 deaths of smokers, 2,009,990 people die from cancer, 3,177,081 fatalities from communicable diseases and 10,402,251 abortions!  To make matters worse is the Centers of Disease and Control (CDC) have instructed Medical Examiners to list Coronavirus as the cause of death even if it is only suspected the individual might have the virus.  People are figuring out that they must get this information to the masses and are utilizing social media platforms and forums to expose the lies and share the truth.

Businesses across all sectors are hurting during this time of uncertainty as they are looking for answers.  However, those companies that have a strong digital strategy and sharing experiences with their audience will stand to benefit.  Businesses can gain trust by informing the public on real news and experiences and offer to help.  This is a time that businesses can look to others and offer services to help them survive without gauging them into debt.

DeliveryMaxx is no different.  We started our company in 2008 which at the time was the worst recession in US history since the 1929 stock market crash.  The company was developed with a great idea to help clients improve their customer retention and satisfaction by reminding them of their happy moment during the buying process.  DeliveryMaxx had created new technology that utilized a special Kodak Camera that was able to label images using unique identifiers that would be sent through a portal allowing us to deliver marketing and advertising material to our clients’ customers within days of the sale or service performed.  By 2010, Kodak announced they were going out of business and DeliveryMaxx had to adapt.  In addition, online reviews and social media marketing was becoming the norm.  Out of necessity new DeliveryMaxx innovation was born.  Quickly adapting to the change of marketing landscape we found a way to help companies compete in the new digital arena that included Online Reputation, Social Media Marketing and Engagement, Content Management, Search Engine Optimization while still focusing on customer satisfaction.  After 10 million lines of code, over one million dollars in research and development; DeliveryMaxx was able to create a patent-pending digital media strategy for any business that needs maximum exposure on the internet in order to sell products or advertise their services gaining more reach than ever before.

Like other businesses, DeliveryMaxx has to look at the world around them and make plans or adjust to a changing environment.  Although many people have flippantly said that this shutdown will only last a couple of weeks and maybe a couple of months thinking that businesses can just pick up where they left off like this was a long overdue vacation; entrepreneurs will have to have a concise plan of action and it must include a robust digital media marketing strategy that allows their customers to positively influence others helping create a demand for their product or services.

What do you do when everything crashes around you?

Adversity brings out the best, but also brings out the worst in people.  This is the same for businesses as well.  Sometimes being prepared does not mean obstacles won’t happen.  As a matter of fact, if you have been in business for any length of time you have major developments that cause adversity quite often.

Now, in the year 2020, all businesses are facing the fight of their life.  Whether one believes the Coronavirus threat warrants government intervention and shutdown of business or thinks that it is a Chinese virus developed to destroy the United States’ economy; it is and will have a drastic effect on millions of people’s lives.  The numbers that were originally reported by the World Health Organization as well as Centers of Disease and Control will not be met thankfully; however, businesses are entering their third week of nationwide quarantine measures and will have a very tough time keeping their doors open.  Enter the government’s massive pork filled special interest stimulus package of 2.2 trillion dollars and some businesses will be able to limp through a minimized slowdown.  Unfortunately, the people will be burdened with this debt to pay back and the economy will reflect these choices down the road.

As the initial shock of good people debating whether lives of the elderly and those with underlying health conditions were more important than the lives of tens of millions that will be faced with unemployment, health issues, child abuse, increase crime, marital conflict, and potential death (suicide, murder, health) if we enter into the 2nd Great Depression; we are now hearing and seeing reports that this might be something other than just a virus.

There are theories showing that it is a Democrat strategy even supported by some Republicans to rid the country of Donald Trump as President of the United States.  You can even start to see political operatives on both side trying to blame each other on why the medical field was ill equipped (even though the Doctors have lined their pockets through Insurance and Pharmaceutical Drug Makers) to handle cases of people who will get sick from a virus that will come back every season since there will never be a cure for it.  Other stories are coming out that China with the help of traitorous greedy anti-Americans to help create and spread this virus in hopes to bring down our economy ultimately creating a rebellion or civil war in our country.  This has always been a strategy starting back when Chairman Mao Zedong, an ideologically Marxist/Leninist was the founding father of the People’s Republic of China from its establishment in 1949 until his death in 1976.  In addition to killing close to 80 million of his own people through starvation, persecution, prison labor and mass executions; his modern enemy was the United States.  His predecessors have continued adverse policy towards the United States and many plots to this point have been foiled by our intelligence community to keep the balance of both world powers.

Therefore businesses have to look at the world around them and make plans or adjust to a changing environment.

No matter the cause of the virus, how serious or not or if someone is behind a terrorist act, businesses will have to be vigilant to survive while the world seems to be crashing around them.

When it comes to an online digital strategy, businesses must make sure their message is concise and supportive of their narrative.  If a business provides a great product or service, there should be several pieces to their online digital media strategy that supports these claims: Blogs, Reviews, Daily Post, Video Messaging, Automated Follow-Up and Website.

DeliveryMaxx has been the leader in this arena over the last decade and continues to help businesses in all sectors reach their potential customers through the most innovative digital strategy utilizing common sense and today’s technology.  Our clients experience positive Online Reputation, stronger SEO, concise content management, increase in social media engagement and advertisement and higher customer retention.  We are able to customize and create a strategy for any entity that is trying to gain more exposure on the web.  With clients in multiple industries and across the country such as Automotive Dealerships, Real-Estate Brokers & Agents, Churches, Service Industry, Sports Teams, Non-Profit Organizations and more; we utilize our Patent-Pending Program to develop a digital strategy that will meet the needs of sales, service and messaging to the masses.

Controlling your Message gains Trust with Customers

When it comes to an online digital strategy, businesses must make sure their message is concise and supportive of their narrative.  If a business provides a great product or service, there should be several pieces to their online digital media strategy that supports these claims:

Blogs- These are written pieces that have the ability to educate the consumer with facts and supporting documents.  Great stories on how the product or service is being used can validate these assertions.  It is also important to insert current events into these blogs.  Letting the public know that you know what is going on in the world is important.

·         Reviews- Many companies talk about getting a “lot of stars”, but reviews are so much more than that.  The goal is to have customers mention the product/service, why they visited your business and who specifically helped them.  Have you ever notices negative reviews state all of these things, but positive reviews might be a one word or one sentence on why they are happy?  Businesses should make it available and easy for their happy customers to be able to share their complete experience with the world on multiple platforms.  Video Testimonies should also be part of every businesses digital media strategy.  If we can see a customer truly happy, then it is more believable.  If you are a business that still pays for “Fake Reviews” customers can see through this.  Number one, those reviews are not being looked at by the average customer and number two, if you are spending that much time on “Fake Reviews” your business will never achieve maximum profitability.

·         Daily Post- There must be a method behind your post.  Are the post engaging to customers?  Do they create an emotion that can create a call to action?  If you are paying a company to put the same post on your sites as every other one of their clients sites than you are not understanding how daily post work.  In addition, you should be putting daily post on all of your social media sites to make sure you are optimizing the opportunity to reach additional customers.

·         Video Messaging- There is nothing better than a candid video that talks about your business or the service you provide.  The most searched videos are “How to Videos”.  Everyone utilizes the internet to find information.  If you want people to search your business, you better have the information they are looking for.

·         Automated Follow Up- Customer Retention is easier than finding new customers.  Your digital strategy should have a consistent approach to letting the customer know you care.  This should also be in a digital format to allow your customer to easily share the information with all of their friends and family.

·         Website- When it comes to E-commerce, businesses must understand their website is their digital Brick and Mortal Location.  Their contact information should be very easy to find as well as information on their products or services.  Their site must be optimized, but that means all of their social media sites should drive traffic back to their website.  A business website should also have information that shows why their customers should utilize their business with supporting information.  However, this supporting information should not make it where a customer would leave their site and go to a competitor’s site one button click away.

Every Business should take a look at the messaging that is going on with the Coronavirus.  Businesses can learn from their mistakes and actually improve how they can talk to their customers if and when we resume back to normal.

Much of the population has been scared into locking themselves in their houses and not going out into public.  Of course we know this isn’t entirely true because Big Box Stores are still open, the military continues to be active, Government at the National, State and Local level are completely operational, and it seems that there are more “Essential Businesses” like the McDonald’s Drive Thru Worker, Braum’s Ice Cream Scooper, Arts and Crafts Store that provides yarn to crochet, Home Depot and Lowes will still give you advice on how to build a fence and of course any place that sells toilet paper.

Our government’s message on how deadly this virus is seems to be moving all over the spectrum.  Remember, the famous Epidemiologist, Neil Ferguson who boldly predicted that the United States would achieve 2.2 million deaths in a very short amount of time only later changing the claims as drastically lower because over 85% who get the virus show no or very mild symptoms?  This was the same chart that everyone said we must balance the curve…whatever that truly means.  Of course the premise of the whole scare was that 100% of the world’s population would become infected with the virus and with a little research one would find that this has never happened in the history of the world.

How about Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who told others there are too many variables at play in the pandemic to make the models reliable: “I’ve looked at all the models. I’ve spent a lot of time on the models. They don’t tell you anything. You can’t really rely upon models.”  The same day, we were introduced to Jeffrey Shaman, a Columbia University epidemiologist whose models were cited by the White House, said his own work on the pandemic doesn’t go far enough into the future to make predictions akin to the White House fatality forecast.  “We don’t have a sense of what’s going on in the here and now, and we don’t know what people will do in the future,” he said. “We don’t know if the virus is seasonal, as well.”

CBS News even admitted airing footage of an overwhelmed Italian hospital while reporting on the coronavirus outbreak in New York City (included a short clip from the Sky News video in a segment about the outbreak of COVID-19 in New York City, which the outlet calls "America's Epicenter")  in order to continue to promote fear and uncertainty.  The CDC, WHO and United States Medical Examiners are counting any death such as heart disease, suicide or other causes of death of a person who has symptoms of the Coronavirus as COVID-19 Related Deaths.  Although very misleading, ultimately this will continue to add to mistrust of the media.

Messages like these have produced panic in our society and are continuing to hurt the economy because of so much misinformation that is being presented to the public.  These are great lessons to learn as we try to navigate around uncertain times.  As a business, you can continue to make sure your message is clear, concise and accurate.  Having a digital strategy will allow you to gain potential customers trust and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
DeliveryMaxx is one of the only digital media company that provides a simple to use app which will allow to immediately collect online reviews, post engaging videos and online content with branding and advertising.  The program is embedded with digital code helping increase SEO which provides first page results on the Search Engines.  It is a tool that is implanted with a complete digital strategy giving their clients a competitive advantage over the competition.  For more information about DeliveryMaxx contact (888) 938-6299 or watch the DeliveryMaxx Introduction Video!

DeliveryMaxx is not saying this virus is not serious and our company adheres to the CDC guidelines doing our part to keep people safe.  However, we are concerned with the future of our country and feel that current government regulations is not the answer to handling this crisis.  We want everyone to stay safe as well as every business to be able to continue to contribute to what has made our country so great.  We will do everything in our power to help out any business or entity to continue to bring in revenue because we know you are providing opportunities for all of your employees.

How Businesses are Adapting to Adversity

It’s easy to tell everyone to stay home when one has a guaranteed paycheck coming in because they are working for a company has either been dictated essential or a company will receive a bailout from the government and can pay for their employees to stay at home.  Remember, essential workers are people like the McDonald’s Drive Thru Order Taker, Nurses, The cart person at Costco, Police Officers, A cashier at Academy Sports & Outdoor, Firefighters, A receptionist at a law firm, Fry Cook at KFC, an Ice Cream Scooper at Braum’s, US Military, Liquor Stores and many more.  These are entities that the government and apparently many of us have no problem with not abiding by the 6 foot rule in social distancing.  These employees must have been declared by the CDC and WHO as a non-threat to our elderly and those with underlying health conditions as policies have made exceptions to allow those employees to continue to provide for their families.  (Disclaimer: For those who do not understand sarcasm, all businesses are essential to the success of our economy!)

However, non-essential employees like Hairdressers, Many Dine-In Restaurants, Churches and Retail Sales have been asked to stay at home so we can eradicate a virus that will continue to reappear each year. (Yes, we have set the precedent for these restrictions to take place again.)
In the last two weeks nearly 10 million new claims for unemployment have been filed according to a New York Times article quoting the US Labor Department.  The speed and scale of the job losses is without precedent. (The only thing faster would have been if we actually would have seen 2.2 million deaths (6,027 a day) like the famous Epidemiologist, Neil Ferguson boldly predicted (later changing the claims as drastically lower because over 85% who get the virus show no or very mild symptoms) and our Government that passed a 2.2 Trillion Dollar Pork Filled So-Called Stimulus Package that we are leaving our children to pay back.)  We are well on our way to etch our fate into history as we skip right over another major recession and right into The 2nd Great Depression.  All it will take is for our labor force to get to the 60 million jobless mark.  According to St. Louis Fed projections, the coronavirus economic freeze better could cost 47 million jobs and send the unemployment rate past 32%.

There is a silver lining though!

Everyone who is tired of hearing about the Coronavirus and Social Distancing will start hearing about higher crime rate both violent and non-violent, increased divorce rate, child abuse, more government regulation and quick fixes, socialist programs, mental health, suicides and drug addiction.  It only took World War 2 to pull us out of the last Great Depression where 418,500 American military and civilians paid the price with their lives.  We have several foreign countries like North Korea, Iran, China and more who love the political discourse in our country and will gladly be ready to take us on in a war.  In fact, yesterday a U.S. official said intelligence threads about a potential attack by Iran or Iran-backed forces had been building for some time. The official did not disclose intelligence on the timing or precise locations of any attack.

The great thing about many businesses and entities as no matter how insane regulations and obstacles our government has put in front of them, they have found a way to overcome and provide a living for their family and the families they employee.

In a recent Forbes blog, Tom Coliccho, founder of Crafted Hospitality and host of Bravo’s Top Chef expects that 70% of restaurants will close and not be able to reopen unless they receive another $440 Billion Dollars.  (That’s only another $13,000 on top of the $30,000 that every family will have to pay back in taxes.  It’s just debt.)  Restaurants already have a slim margin for profit, but provide many jobs for single parents, independent college students, career service providers and part-time employees.  Even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez better known as AOC who is the Socialist Democratic US Representative for New York’s 14th congressional district was a bartender just before she was elected by New Yorkers and now serves on committees making decisions for the rest of the country.  These restaurant owners are trying everything possible from utilizing social media to encourage viewers to buy recipes and uncooked products just to keep their business open.

Churches have utilize video messaging and social media platforms to conduct their weekly sermons.  However, our religious house of worship need additional revenue from their parishioners to continue to provide outreach programs for abused women and children, unemployed households trying to provide food for their families, homelessness and other charitable opportunities.  In addition to the lead preacher, churches have a staff of maintenance crew, secretaries, accountants and other essential employees that are needed to keep the doors open.

Those employees who are in sales have adapted to get their message out to the masses as well.  They still have products to sell which is inventory the businesses must move to continue to pay rent on buildings, salaries for staff support, other vendors who provide necessary services and monthly operational expenditures.  Sales people are utilizing social media through image and video messaging to continue to comply with the social distancing guidelines.

The Greek philosopher, Plato once stated, “Necessity is the mother of invention.”  A need or problem encourages creative efforts to meet the need of solve the problem.  Yes, we have a virus that can kill people.  However, the government regulations that have been put in place will also ultimately lead to others untimely death or at the least destroy everything they have worked for and the opportunities they are providing for others to achieve life, liberty and their pursuit of happiness.
Nobody would think any different if the shutdown only meant 2 weeks of everyone staying at home.  However, this economic halt will have much more consequences than 2 weeks of helping your kids with online classes.

To recover or even avoid being completely shut down, businesses must embrace a technological transformation in automation as well as trying to provide their message to the masses gaining a reach to solicit, sell and service their products.  In today’s world, businesses now more than ever must have a digital strategy.  Today it is the Coronavirus, tomorrow it will be something else.  Our customers are spending more hours of the day online shopping, researching or mindless browsing.  Now more than ever, all eyes are on social media.  As a matter of fact, 66% of social media users believe their social media usage habit will increase in the event they are confined to their home due to the Coronavirus.  Over 60% of both YouTube and Facebook users expect an increase while only 2% expect a decrease.

Your Business is Nonessential… Now What?

As we received mixed messages from municipal government officials dictating what business is essential and what business is not during the coronavirus scare; many lives are being upended.  Unfortunately, many businesses do not feel like they have a voice nor the means to continue to pay expenses.

This is NOT a political blog nor is this intended to minimize the severity of the virus and its potential effects on our population.  This is intended to provide assistance to businesses who continue to have lease payments, payroll and other expenditures that will not go away.  It is also intended to provide a common voice for those who are faced with the facts that they will shut down their doors over the next 30 days and never be able to open again.

DeliveryMaxx, a small business that specializes in Online Reputation, Social Media Marketing and Advertising, Content Management, SEO, Website Development, Customer Retention Satisfaction and other Digital Media Strategies was created in 2008 without government loans and other financial assistance.  Over the last 12 years we developed a Patent-Pending program that helps our clients increasing Positive Reviews, Strong SEO, and a digital strategy that will take client’s current business model giving them a stronger reach on the internet which means more sales and services provided.  Being a small business, DeliveryMaxx has provided jobs for those who have worked for the company and other vendors who have provided services for the company.  A stimulus package will not help
DeliveryMaxx and many of the clients that we serve.  This story is quite common across the country.
I don’t know anyone who has tested positive much less tested positive and is critical condition or dying from the Coronavirus.  I hope this is the norm and not an exception.  My heart goes out to them and their family and I would not wish this heartache on anyone.  This is not me being insensitive to others health as I do care.  Personally, I have parents and in-laws who are elderly and one who cannot receive treatments for brain cancer because of the shutdown.  I have relatives and friends who have underlying health conditions and are vulnerable to getting sick.  In addition, I do know three clients stories (and a 187 employees that work for those clients) that the virus has negatively affected and these stories will continue if either our government doesn’t act appropriately or businesses don’t take necessary steps to adapt in this climate.

The first is a very popular restaurant that had to lay off all of its employees and shut their doors.  If the mandatory lockdown happens longer than a month or two; they will not be able to open again.  This will leave a vacancy in the location they reside.  The owners still have mortgages and car payments they have to pay.  The vendors that serve them will not be able to collect due to a lack of revenue.  The single mothers who work for the business have no income coming in and will now have to depend on the government for assistance.  The young couple that worked who were planning on getting married next month now are rethinking how they can even afford to start a life together.

The second business that my heart goes out to is one of the most ethical foundation companies in North Texas.  The owner has been a pillar in the community his entire life donating tens of thousands to the Child Advocacy Group.  For the last 35 years he has given employees jobs who walked in without a car and a dollar to their name just because he had empathy for their situation.  He has employees who are the sole provider for their family, retired workers who are supplementing their income to provide food on the table and part-time workers who are earning a little extra income to pay bills and support their family.  He has purchased equipment to do upcoming jobs, but because of certain city’s regulations he cannot complete those jobs thus enabling him to make payroll.  Not to mention, his personal expenses to live.

Finally, a third business deals in selling and servicing printing and copiers.  Their clients include large businesses, churches, small businesses and any company that needs to print or copy documents.  Because of the shutdown, there is no need to service this equipment and therefore they have had to lay off all of the employees who no longer can provide a service.  Because businesses are shutdown, sales people cannot sell and now have a loss of income.  Attorneys, accountants and other vendors now experience that loss of revenue.

Currently there are many opinions, statistics and numbers being thrown around in today’s media.  The media has to sell advertisement based on viewership so the most sensational stories get publicized.  The medical profession who is on the frontlines are seeing the sick on a daily basis, so all they know is what they are seeing inside their world (and I can only imagine how scary it is).  Politicians are seeing which way the wind is blowing and forming their opinions based on what they think will get them the most votes.  We, the people, are getting so much information that we don’t know what is factual and what is not.

What is happening is the small business is being destroyed and real families are becoming victims of the coronavirus without ever getting sick.

What’s the right answer?  I don’t know.  I am an expert at providing a program that allows businesses to get their message out via the World Wide Web through innovative digital strategies.  My opinion is no different than the nurse who shares their opinion because of the victims they continues to see.  We have the Democrats and Republicans trying to blame each other and put pork inside a stimulus package that will not help most of us.  We have some judges trying to shut down their city while other mayors are saying everyone is important.  The businesses that have put their life savings into their company have also taken huge losses in the stock market.  People like me wouldn’t be able to sell our house to save our business because few will be buying in this market.  Therefore the equity we have has been diminished.

This will pass.  America as we know it might not be the same again.  However, the United States was founded on common sense principles and still provides everyone the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.  As long as our Constitution does not change, people will be able create new small businesses even in these difficult times.

So what can businesses do to survive if they have been deemed nonessential?  First and foremost, they must streamline their expenses and unfortunately that means eliminating employees.  My 18 year old son was a casualty in his part-time job that he was using to save money to attend college.  Second, with the increase in viewership on social media; they must have a complete digital strategy to consistently get their message out to the masses.  They may have to do a paradigm shift and increase their e-commerce business.  The positive by going digital is the cost can be drastically reduced by partnering with a company such as DeliveryMaxx.

DeliveryMaxx is able to customize and create a strategy for businesses, churches and any entity that is trying to gain more exposure on the web.  With clients in multiple industries and across the country; we utilize our Patent-Pending Program to develop a digital strategy that will meet the needs of sales, service and messaging to the masses.

Times are tough and DeliveryMaxx is here to provide vital services for the victims who have businesses which are necessary to provide food, shelter and transportation to their employees.  Our prayers continue for all of those affected by the virus and hope that those who actually get sick are quickly cured.

In today’s world, businesses now more than ever must have a digital strategy.  Today it is the Coronavirus, tomorrow it will be something else.  Our customers are spending more hours of the day online shopping, researching or mindless browsing.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the coronavirus, but also out to all of the businesses that will be adversely affected by potential customers isolating themselves indoors.  We will develop a custom plan for each business that allows them to compete in today’s marketplace.

With its Patent-Pending Digital Marketing Solutions; DeliveryMaxx is the only digital media company that provides a simple to use app which will allow to immediately collect online reviews, post engaging videos and online content with branding and advertising.

RETENTION RETENTION RETENTION

shutterstock_278629712Can you guess what the word of the day is?  That’s right, it is Retention.  You know what it means, but is your business doing everything it can to retain the customers who visit you?  In order to grow a business you must do two things, acquire new customers and keep them around for a LONG time.  Yet, studies show that businesses are over 3x more likely to focus on acquisition efforts compared to retention efforts.  This post will focus on why retention is important necessary  CRUCIAL to your business plan.
Retention Makes More Money Honey
166According to estimates, around 80% of future revenue for businesses come from just 20% of existing customers.  And it is not hard to figure out why, existing customers are easier to sell to.  They are comfortable, they know your business.  The likelihood of converting an existing customer to buy from you again is 60-70%, while the likelihood of converting a new prospect to purchase is only 5-20%!  Are you playing the odds correctly?  By focusing your resources to improve the way you retain customers, your company has the potential to generate a significant amount of revenue.  The more you retain, the more money you have to spend on gains.
Retention Has Less Cost Boss
The cost of customer acquisition (CAC) have been estimated to cost 4 to 10 times more than the cost of retaining an existing one.  Not to mention that existing customers are familiar with your business and require a lot less hand-holding and understand how to go through the process and where to get help to solve any problems they may encounter.  As a result, existing customers are a lot cheaper to provide service to.  And your existing customer base is a golden source for referrals, therefore efforts you put into retention will help grow your customer base.  Keeping customers around for the long haul means you’re delivering a great experience and you can turn your happy customer’s success stories into case studies to bring in more prospects.
Retention Is a Marketing King
Not only do your retention efforts generate revenue, they also give you a lot of insights on how to improve your marketing effort to acquire new customers by letting you know what content you need to communicate to prospects, and who you need to be targeting.

Were the Super Bowl Commercials worth the Spend?

Without a question, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots 31 unanswered points against the Atlanta Falcons will be a Super Bowl memory that will be etched in the minds of sports fans forever.  The unprecedented comeback was nothing short of amazing and Tom Brady has solidified himself as the Greatest of All-Time.  Obviously, we can all talk about the controversy surrounding Brady and the Patriots, but more importantly will we remember any of the commercials during the big game?

Ad buyers estimate the average cost of a 30-second advertisement crept up to a whopping $5 million this year for the Super Bowl or the
equivalent of $166,667 per second.  The Super Bowl is expected to serve up more than 110 million viewers. According to Forbes, this year’s $5 million price tag equals about 4 and 5 cents. An average commercial at between $200k to $500k for 2 to 7 million viewers which equates to 8 to 10 cents more per viewer.  By all accounts this seems like a great spend right?  Even Forbes, Huffington Post and every large marketing agency say if you can afford it utilize the Super Bowl for your Ad Spend.

However, most companies cannot afford this type of spend and the one’s that can are throwing good money away.  Not to mention, 2017 Super Bowl Commercials were less than stellar this year!
According to Communicus’ new study about advertising during the big game showed that four out of five commercials during the last Super Bowl failed to make people buy or build product interest, the research firm said.

Key findings from the Communicus’ research, based on a nationally representative survey of 3,000 adults 18-65:

  • Only 10% of consumers remember the average Super Bowl ad and know the brand being advertised.
  • 80% of Super Bowl commercials fail to change consumer opinions/intentions regarding a brand.
  • Only 33% of consumers can remember seeing a typical Super Bowl commercial in the first place.
While the viewing audience for the Super Bowl has only increased 300% since its inception, ad rates for the game have risen by 12,000%.  “Super Bowl advertising retains a strong allure for marketers,” said Ms. Jeri Smith, President & CEO, Communicus, Inc. “This is despite the clear and consistent lack of ROI for the vast majority of brands investing in the Big Game.”

Recently, advancements in media and technology have provided advertisers with a multitude of new ways to target and connect with potential customers.  Consumers have long been vocal about their aversion toward ads; ads interrupt programs, push products that are potentially not of interest and are, in general, a nuisance.  It’s simple: We the consumer DO NOT like ads shoved in our face from you the company!

Enter DeliveryMaxx

DeliveryMaxx has developed a Patent-Pending program allowing consumers to advertise to their friends and family via Social Media just by sharing their happy experience.  In addition to being able to provide content across all of the major social media channels driving traffic back to their clients’ websites, DeliveryMaxx helps its clients with Online Reputation and Social Media Engagement.  In short, DeliveryMaxx turns its client’s customers into virtual billboards saving their clients thousands of advertising dollars.  How simple is it you might ask?  By taking a simple picture or video and providing the consumer an opportunity to share the happy experience; one transaction can equal to thousands if not hundreds of thousands of views.  For companies that have multiple transactions a day, these views and customer engagement will increase exponentially.

The best part of digital advertising is the advertising does not disappear overnight.  The shelf life for digital advertising can last years.  DeliveryMaxx also puts in place a strategic plan which improves their clients’ customer satisfaction index by staying in front of the happy customer.  Thus, emotion and loyalty drives the consumer to continue to advertise for said company.  Because of DeliveryMaxx’s Patent-Pending Technology the proven results happen as easy as pushing a button on a mobile app driving your product into the hands of millions of potential consumers.  The cost of this type of advertising is less than 1 cent per view.  Because the consumer is the one advertising for DeliveryMaxx the ROI increases tremendously as they are reaching “like minded” consumers.
